WordPress plugin
The gold price plugin for WooCommerce
Selling jewellery, coins or bars with WooCommerce? With ZilverGoudPrijs your product prices automatically follow the live gold, silver, platinum and palladium price. No more manual work every time the market moves.
Why a metal price plugin?
Gold and silver prices move all day. A web shop with fixed prices sells too cheaply when the price rises, or too expensively when it falls. Keeping prices up to date by hand takes time and will go wrong sooner or later. ZilverGoudPrijs calculates every price automatically: price per gram × weight × fineness × (1 + your markup) + fixed markup.
What the plugin does
- Price per product and per variation: metal, weight in grams, troy ounces or kilos, fineness, markup and minimum price.
- A new metal price every minute for gold, silver, platinum and palladium, with bid and ask prices.
- Price locked during checkout: 15 minutes (adjustable) with a countdown, so your customer pays what they saw.
- Price table and buy-back calculator on your own site with the shortcodes
[zgp_koersentabel]and[zgp_calculator]. - Safe: no orders at an outdated price when there is no current metal price.
- Easy switching: settings from the best-known precious metals plugin are imported in one go.
- Dutch and English, following the language of your website, and automatic updates through WordPress.
Who is it for?
For jewellers and goldsmiths selling jewellery by weight, coin and bullion dealers selling bars and investment coins, and gold buyers who want to show their live buy-back prices on their website.
Pricing
€19 per month or €190 per year per website, excluding VAT. From 3 websites you get 20% off all your licenses. You can try it free for 3 days first, without payment details.
Frequently asked questions
Does the plugin work with any WooCommerce theme?
Yes. The plugin adjusts the product price through WooCommerce's standard functions, so it works with any theme and with both the classic and the new block cart and checkout.
How often are prices updated?
The metal price is fetched every minute. Product pages show the new price immediately; for sorting, price filters and product feeds the prices are stored in WooCommerce every 15 minutes.
Can I use a different markup per product?
Yes: per product and per variation a percentage, a fixed amount (for example labour), a minimum price and the rounding.
What if no metal price is available?
The last known price stays in place. If it is older than the limit you set, metal products show "price on request" and cannot be ordered.
I already use another precious metals plugin. Do I have to set everything up again?
Usually not. ZilverGoudPrijs recognises the best-known precious metals plugin for WooCommerce and imports your product settings (metal, weight, fineness, markups, minimum price, also per variation) in one go, shows the old and new price first, and can undo the import. Your existing price shortcodes keep working.
