Installing and configuring ZilverGoudPrijs
From installation to your first product on the metal price in ten minutes. Requirements: WordPress 6.4 or newer, WooCommerce 8.0 or newer, PHP 7.4 or newer and euro as store currency. The plugin follows the language of your website (Dutch or English).
Install the plugin
Download the zip from zilvergoudprijs.nl. In WordPress go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the zip, click Install Now and then Activate. WooCommerce must be active.
Start the trial
Go to WooCommerce → ZilverGoudPrijs. Enter your store name and email address and click Start free trial. Metal prices are fetched right away.
Switching from another plugin?
If ZilverGoudPrijs recognises your previous plugin, an extra switch tab appears in the settings. You will see all products with their old and new price; click Import settings. Undoing is possible at any time.
Put a product on the metal price
Open a product and go to the Precious metal tab. Enable Price follows metal rate and choose the metal, the weight with its unit, and the fineness.
Set markup and rounding
Enter a markup in percent and/or a fixed markup, optionally a minimum price, and choose how the price is rounded. The current price is shown at the bottom.
Set up variations
For a variable product, enter a different weight, fineness or markup per variation. Empty fields use the value of the parent product.
Show prices on your site
Use [zgp_koersentabel] for a price table, [zgp_koers metal="gold" unit="g"] for a single price and [zgp_calculator] for the buy-back calculator. Configure the calculator lines under Buy-back calculator.
Subscribe
On the License tab choose monthly or yearly and enter your company details. You will receive an email to confirm the direct debit with an iDEAL payment of €0.01.

Switched from another plugin? The commonly used shortcodes [ign_metal_price], [ign_metal_buy_price] and [ign_gold_price] (also silver, platinum, palladium) keep working.
Settings
- Default rounding: to the cent, 5 cents, 50 cents, whole euros, €5 or €10 (can be changed per product).
- Maximum age of the rate: after how many hours without a new price products show "price on request" (default 24).
- Lock price for: how long the price stays fixed in the cart (default 15 minutes, 0 = always live).
- Texts: the label next to the price, the text without a price and the message when the price changes during checkout. Empty texts follow the language of the website.
Updates
New versions appear in WordPress under Plugins and Dashboard → Updates, just like other plugins. The download is verified with a signed checksum.
